On Trajectory Design for Intruder Detection in Wireless Mobile Sensor Networks

We address the problem of detecting invasion an intruder into a region interest (ROI) which is monitored by distributed bandwidth-constrained wireless mobile sensor network (WMSN). design periodic trajectories for nodes (MSNs) such that high detection probabilities are obtained while maintaining MSNs' energy consumption low. To reduce transmission and processing burden on MSNs, we propose operation algorithm based two modes, surveying mode confirmation mode. In former, to efficiently detect using little mechanical energy, optimize path sensed area maximized. During this mode, each MSN performs local switches if only suspected be present. collects further measurements over predefined duration uncertainly. A binary hypothesis testing performed at positive test statistics transmitted FC where ultimate decision taken. Simulations results show merits proposed two-mode in terms performance efficiency.
